Stahlstown Flax Scutching Festival
Description:
Before the cotton gin, textile mills, and clothing stores, there was flax scutching. You can see all the steps of this process and even engage with the demonstrators throughout the festival. Enjoy the delicious buckwheat cakes, sausage and pure maple syrup, homemade soups, a variety of sandwiches, and funnel cakes.
