Dec 10th 2017 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Compass Inn Museum - 1382 Rt 30 East, Laughlintown, PA 15655
During Holiday Tours guests explore the Compass Inn Museum by the glow of candles and warm, flickering fires. As in the 18th and early 19th century, the spirit of the Christmas season is reflected in the simple but charming décor, traditions and hospitality of days gone by. At the end of your tour, relax by a crackling fire and 18th century Christmas tree in the 1862 Room while sipping on a cup of hot mulled cider and enjoying a tasty treat. The 1862 Room is not visited during the regular season.
On Saturday, November 28, to celebrate Thanksgiving, the string band, The Riverside Players will be on hand in the Inn’s Common Room to entertain and delight visitors during their tour. The Riverside Players are dedicated to the playing of "Old Time" music. Their play-list includes songs from the early periods of development of the United States: The Colonial, Pre-Civil War, Gold Rush, Civil War and Frontier Expansion periods.
